Built in America, the J-45 Special has a round shoulder body made from genuine solid mahogany for the back and sides, and a solid Sitka spruce top reinforced with scalloped X-bracing for a warm, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range.

The utile neck has a fast and comfortable SlimTaper profile, with a rosewood fingerboard on top outfitted with simple mother-of-pearl dot inlays and twenty standard frets. It comes with an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze under-saddle piezo pickup with active electronics and an easily accessible soundhole-mounted volume control for studio-quality plug-and-play anywhere, along with high-quality Grover Rotomatic tuners and a traditional belly-up rosewood bridge.
