The amazing Custom Shop-model Gibson 1964 ES-335 Reissue VOS semi-hollowbody guitar is back and better than ever thanks to a year of studying, scanning and listening to original examples. The expert craftspeople at Gibson Custom Shop have rendered every contour, every profile, every inlay and the color of priceless vintage models in magnificent detail. The result is a playing and ownership experience that will keep you coming back for more.
The 1964 Reissue ES-335 is built from a magnificent 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body with dual f-holes carved in, as well as a solid maple centerblock and sharp horn cutaways with a 1-ply royalite binding and a VOS lacquer finish. It utilizes a solid mahogany authentic '64 medium C-profile neck scanned from the originals, with a smooth and perfect Indian rosewood fingerboard on top with small block inlays and vintage nickel replica parts.
A pair of powerful un-potted Custombucker Alnico III pickups matched at the neck and bridge deliver a classic, vintage-style Gibson semi-hollow tone, with paper-in-oil capacitors and two volume and two tone controls with CTS 500K audio taper potentiometers. A three-way toggle switch allows you to dial in the exact tone you want with ease. As authentic and stunning as capable, the Custom Shop Gibson 1964 ES-335 Reissue is ready to become your go-to guitar — available now at Replay Guitar Exchange!
