Gibson Custom Shop Elvis Dove Acoustic/Electric, Ebony
Gibson Custom Shop Elvis Dove Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Ebony
A gift for the King, and a gift from the King of Rock 'n' Roll — the Custom Shop model Gibson Elvis Dove acoustic/electric guitar is based on a customized version of the 1969 Gibson Dove that was gifted to the King of Rock 'n' Roll by his father, Vernon Presley, and that Elvis played in concert regularly from 1971 until 1975, including during the 1973 satellite-televised Aloha From Hawaii concert. In 1975, Elvis gifted it in mid-performance to an astonished audience member at a concert in Asheville, North Carolina.
The beautiful Gibson Elvis Dove features a solid Sitka spruce top on solid maple back and sides, all colored in an Ebony gloss finish with a set of elegant gold hardware and thick white binding. The traditional hand scalloped X-bracing pattern allows for a deeper, richer voice, letting your chords breathe fully with every strum. The mahogany rounded C-profile neck is smooth and comfortable, capped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays.
It also comes equipped with modern L.R. Baggs VTC electronics, with an under-saddle piezo pickup and soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, making it stage-ready, right out of the case. Truly an authentic experience that will have your music bursting with new pockets of stunning life and power, the Gibson Custom Shop Elvis Dove embodies everything that really made Elvis a king — available for you now at Replay Guitar Exchange!
