Gibson USA Slim Harpo "Lovell" ES-330 Hollowbody Guitar, Vintage Sunset Burst
Legendary blues musician James Slim Harpo Moore is remembered for his hit song blues songs of the late '50s, '60s and '70s. His songs have been covered by artists such as The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, and The Yardbirds. Now, his guitar of choice was the Gibson ES-330, prompting Gibson USA to recreate it in a whole new modern form. Replay Guitar Exchange proudly offers the Gibson Slim Harpo "Lovell" ES-330 hollowbody guitar, featuring a three-ply maple/poplar/maple top, back and sides with spruce bracing, along with a cream binding and a lacquer finish.
The smooth and comfortable mahogany rounded C-profile neck is perfect and easy to play, offering twenty-two medium jumbo frets on the smooth rosewood fingerboard, which is adorned with small block inlays. A pair of classic Dogear P-90 pickups are installed, with hand-wired controls and Orange Drop capacitors for a tasteful and blues-like tone. This hollowbody also features an ABR-1 bridge with a Trapeze tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with white buttons, and has a custom "Lovell" logo on the back of the headstock to honor Slim Harpo's life partner, manager, and the co-writer of many of his biggest hits, Lovell Moore.
