Used 2001 Collings D1A, Natural
Used Collings D1A Acoustic Guitar, 2001, Natural
The square-shouldered dreadnought is the most popular steel-string acoustic guitar body shape in the world. Collings has brought a whole new spectrum to that shape in the form of this 2001-model Collings D1A acoustic guitar, complete in a Natural color with a tortoiseshell pickguard. This guitar was beautifully-crafted in America from a stunning Adirondack spruce top on a gorgeous mahogany back and sides — bringing a new tonal clarity to the depth and warmth of the dreadnought body. A soft V-profile mahogany neck is set in place, with a smooth and perfectly playable ebony fingerboard on top, providing rich, tasteful tonality and playability.
This guitar is in Very Good condition, as there are a few minor dings noticeable about the body, as well as some light play-wear — with an estimated fret life of 95% remaining. The wide range of sounds and subtle acoustic nuances offered on the D1A allow dreadnought fans to find this Collings model ideally suited to their playing style and tonal preference.
