First introduced in 1958, the Epiphone USA Coronet is one of Epiphone's first and most successful original electric guitar designs, and now it has come home to America! This fantastic model has a symmetrical double cutaway mahogany body shape, complete with three-on-a-side headstock shape and a Bikini headstock badge, along with a same pickguard shape as the earliest versions from 1958. It has a few improvements over the original, like a slightly wider nut width and a comfortable SlimTaper profile on the mahogany neck.
Along with a slightly slimmer body depth for better balance and a lighter weight, this unique guitar has a single P-90 Soapbar pickup that brings out a terrific tone — hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors and shaped using a master volume and master tone. Original USA-made Coronets have been played by everyone from Jimi Hendrix and Steve Marriot to Johnny Marr and Marshall Crenshaw.
