Established in 2005 by artist Yvonne de Villiers, Luna Guitars embody a creative perspective in the world of guitar manufacturing. Born from an observation of her mother, a bass player, Yvonne noticed the effort it took to have a full sized bass on her mother, and realized instruments that fit the body of the player is not a consideration for most manufacturers.
Yvonne de Villiers is an award-winning architectural stained glass artists and used that experience when envisioning a line of comfortable instruments for musicians of all ages and artfully crafted to inspire and engage the mind and spirit.
The result is a brand of stringed instruments beautifully adorned with ornamentation completely unique in the world of guitars and has created a ground-roots, organic following with customers affectionately known as “The Tribe.”
