Epiphone 1960 Hummingbird Reissue Acoustic/Electric, Heritage Cherry Sunburst
Arriving in 1960 during the dawn of a new era in music, the Gibson Hummingbird made its mark as a gorgeous acoustic with pure versatility. Now, Epiphone — in collaboration with Gibson Custom — has masterfully brought the iconic acoustic back to life in the form of the Epiphone 1960 Hummingbird Reissue! This stunning guitar has a thermally aged solid Sitka spruce top reinforced with traditional scalloped X-bracing made from quartersawn solid spruce, along with back and sides of solid mahogany.
The one-piece, thermally-aged mahogany neck has a rounded profile that is capped with a bound rosewood fingerboard, outfitted with twenty standard frets and adorned with mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays. The pickguard features the legendary Hummingbird shaped and engraved artwork design, matched by the multi-ply binding and belly-up rosewood bridge plate. It's equipped with a built-in L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC preamp and under-saddle piezo pickup system, ready to hit the stage or studio whenever.
