Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue, TV Yellow
Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue Electric Guitar, TV Yellow
The Gibson Custom Shop is the pinnacle of craftsmanship, quality and sound excellence. Celebrating Gibson's legacy through accuracy, authenticity and attention to detail, Replay Guitar Exchange is proud to offer this amazing Gibson 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue electric guitar, proudly replicated in intricate detail — complete in a TV Yellow VOS finish with a black multi-ply pickguard and a set of nickel hardware.
The Les Paul Special was revised in 1958 to have double cutaways and more fingerboard access, but the Special didn't really hjit its groove until 1960, when the lower pickup placement and SlimTaper neck made it more robust and easier to play than ever. This Les Paul features a one-piece solid mahogany body with a matching solid mahogany neck, boasting a 1960 SlimTaper-profile for period-accurate playing and a Indian rosewood fingerboard on top — bound with a 1-ply cream binding and adorned with twenty-two authentic medium jumbo frets.
A pair of mean, fiery Custom Soapbar P-90s pickups create tones ranging from sparkling cleans to crunchy distortion, thanks to the dual volume and dual tone controls, along with the three-way toggle switch. It's a complete structural and visual clone of it's coveted vintage counterpart, but the real magic is in the identical sound and playability. Anything you can throw at it, the Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Special can handle it! As always, feel free to contact our store for more details, or with any questions.
